American Cancer Society
National and regional programs in research, prevention, detection, patient and survivor services. Glossary of cancer terms. Links to organizations for specific cancers, government agencies, pharmaceutical companies, journals, and hospital directories at "web resources".
American Institute for Cancer Research
Emphasis on diet, nutrition, and cancer prevention. Access recipes and diet plans for prevention and for those with cancer. Reports on research, text of newsletter columns, and links to other nutrition sites.
American Pain Foundation
An information resource and patient advocacy organization serving people with pain. Provides practical information for cancer patients on types of pain, managing pain, choosing the right medicine, side effects, non-drug treatments and more.
